About us

The British Association of Marbella (BAM) was founded in July 1987 by a small group of British people who used to meet in the apartment of its first president.
Since its conception BAM has seen some changes. It has grown in membership and meets regularly at different locations. However, what has never changed is the purpose for which the club was formed, to encourage social interaction and provide activities for and by the members; raising when possible money to be donated for worthwhile charities. Activities include weekly coffee mornings, monthly lunches, theatre and concert trips, visits to interesting places and anything feasible suggested by individual members.

The continuing progress of BAM depends on the efforts of its members and the contribution they are prepared to make towards this end. Membership is open to people of all nationalities who can speak and understand a little of the English language. There is no minimum standard of language required.

For further information; please contact Joan, our BAM Secretary, 952 835 947.

Alternatively, you are welcome to attend our regular BAM coffee morning every Wednesday between 11:00 and 12:00, currently held at the San Cristobal Hotel, Marbella.
